Welcome to my Mars Hydro 300w grow journal summary. I decided to write this short recap because I wanted to talk about a cheap and effective way to grow cannabis indoors. As you may know, I mostly prefer growing cannabis outdoors. I prefer growing outdoors because it is more natural in my opinion. On the other hand, indoor growing also has its benefits. For this indoor grow, we used Mars Hydro reflective LED lights.

There are a ton of generic LED brands available. This was a little disturbing because we didn’t know who to trust. We ultimately decided to go with Mars Hydro Reflective LED lights for a number of reasons. In 2009, Mars Hydro was established. Unlike most of the other generic brands, Mars Hydro offers a 3 year warranty on most of their lights. This was reassuring because we didn’t want to get ripped off.

In the end, the choice was pretty easy after evaluating the grow light market. The size of the lights was impressive. We did not want a light that took up a lot of space. The reflective series is small, easy to handle, weighs a few pounds and can be stacked when not in use. Technology was another big reason we went with Mars Hydro. For starters, all their bulbs are full spectrum and have ETL certificates. These LEDS lights run cool to the touch and don’t use a lot of power either. Price and warranty were also determining factors when purchasing. These lights are priced appropriately.

LED Grow Light for 4×4 Tent

Furthermore, it is important to calculate the size and scale you wish to accomplish. Since each grow light offers a different amount of coverage, you should try and match your grow light to the growing environment. A good rule-of-thumb for LED grow lights is 30w to 50w of actual wattage per square foot. This means a grow area of 2×2′ will require at least a 150w grow light. Thus, a 4×4′ tent will require at least a 300w grow light.

I have purchased a handful of these reflective LED lights. The results were great. After several successful grows, I am very satisfied. To say the least, these lights have been stellar! I really enjoy using these lights because they still work great and have always produced dense buds. I would definitely recommend these lights for any small to medium size grower.
