There are a lot of great replacement bulbs, but which is the best 400w HPS bulb? I will try and answer that question in this short blog. Hopefully by the end of this article, you will have a good idea of which bulbs you should at least look into.

Eye Hortilux also makes a great replacement bulb. They definitely aren’t the cheapest, but they come highly rated and their user reviews are outstanding! Eye Hortilux states that their bulbs are provide 25% more energy than standard high pressure sodium lamps. For the performance, the bulb linked below is well priced in my opinion.

GE is another brand that you can trust. For me, I always look for reputable brands that I recognize when making purchases like these. The GE model linked below has a great price tag. You can buy it for around $26. Thats a steal when compared the Eye Hortilux and Philips bulbs mentioned above. The GE linked below produces 50,000 lumens. That’s solid output for a $26 bulb!
