Fox Farm Cha Ching Review

I’ve always been a big fan of fox farm soils. I have used Ocean Forest potting soil with great success for several years. It is my favorite potting soil by far and I wrote a blog about it here. My neighbor recently showed me Cha Ching. I’ve heard tidbits about Cha Ching here and there, but never got to see it in use. I wrote this fox farm cha ching review to share my thoughts about this cannabis fertilizer.

Fox Farm Cha Ching Review

In my opinion, Fox Farm is one of the best when it comes to marketing their products. The label on Cha Ching is no different. The diamonds and jewels make you think about cashing in. But, does Cha Ching really make your plants sparkle with glee and is it worth the price?

My Neighbors Fox Farm Cha Ching Review

My neighbor is a darn good grower. I’ve seen his garden for several years now. His plants are always big and strong so I know he knows a thing or two about growing. The last time I was over, he was applying Cha Ching to his outdoor grow. At the time, I didn’t know very much about Cha Ching so I immediately asked if he liked it. LOL, he loves it. My neighbor has been using Cha Ching for 3 years and uses it during the final weeks of flowering. He said he can definitely notice a difference in fragrance and resin production.

Further Thoughts

Even though my neighbor gave Cha Ching two thumbs up, I was taken back by the extraordinary npk ratio. Cha Ching has a npk ratio of 9-50-10, which are extremely high ratios in my opinion. These high ratios are unfamiliar territory compared to the organic fertilizers I use. The main ingredient in Cha Ching is ammonium phosphate. Ammonium phosphate is a common synthetic fertilizer. Most organic gardeners avoid these types of fertilizers because they generally harm the biology in your soil. But Fox Farm has an answer for that. Fox Farm states that Cha Ching won’t leave a salty residue or build up in the soil. Even better, Cha Ching includes a micronutrient pack. The directions also state that Cha Ching can be used with soilless mixes, organic soils, hydroponic and aeroponic grows.

Fox Farm Cha Ching Ingredients

Ammonium phosphate, mono potassium phosphate, ammonium nitrate, potassiumnitrate, iron, manganese, zinc, copper, chelating agent, disodium ethylenediamine tetra acetate (EDTA), sodiumborate, sodium molybdate and kelp.

Fox Farm Cha Ching Feeding Schedule

Hydroponics – Mix 1 tsp per gallon of reservoir water during the final weeks of flowering through harvest. Flush every two weeks. If combining with other nutrients, use 1/4 to 1/2 tsp per gallon of reservoir water.

Soil – Mix 1/2 to 1 tsp per gallon of water during the final weeks of flowering through harvest. If combining with other nutrients, use 1/4 to 1/2 tsp per gallon of water. Apply weekly.

Final Thoughts

If you are considering adding Cha Ching to your garden, I would first weigh the pros and cons. For organic gardeners like myself, I would probably avoid it due to the risks of killing the beneficials in your soil. For me, it really stops there. However, I cannot deny the result this fertilizer produces. My neighbors gardens are always quite impressive. He also uses Open Sesame and Beastie Bloomz. Open Sesame, Beastie Bloomz and Cha Ching are all part of the Fox Farm fertilizer trio.

  5. the spoon provided is 1 TABLESPOON but the measurements are for Teaspoon! Do you find that people overdose the mix because they just put in a tablespoon which is too much?
